pretty good
Nice use of instruments, but I felt like the bass might have been to heavy in places, it was overpowering of everything else

Thanks for the review Xiphon.
definately more frantic
which is a good thing, it speaks a bit more as to what's going on and the notes feel more on key as it swings up and down a little more extreme.
I really like the resonating sort of feel that it has, as well. It feels a little more metalic which matches up well with the lightning charged sword fight going on,
i need to get this boss done and put a demo up cause it's pretty good so far
Skipping over Nebulae
I really like the space-age feel to this, it just feels high and stary, and I always love it when composers work in a common theme to their work, I recognized the main theme you have in here from a couple of your other works combined with the new instruments and stuff,
Portions of it feel very uplifting, while it still leads into that edgy sort of dangerous side as well,
I like it
I love how this track feels
it's like a pirate battle at sea!
the more music gets done for this, the more i'm surprised (yet not surprised) to see that a lot of swashbuckling sort of stuff fits really well. Like i said, i shouldn't be surprised, as the setting is sky pirates, i guess it's just not a genre i've ever fallen into until now...
anyway, yeah i'm not sure how to describe the emotions tied into this track, but i love how it totally feels like an airship showdown,
even though in the fight Canthos will be aflight on a potted plant
it's light enough!
I like how fun this one sounds :)
I really liked it,
coming to think of it, i tend to blow things up when I first e-mail you my thoughts on something, than after a couple days i think to myself "oh... i should have said 'THIS' instead..."
but it all comes out ok.
I assumed right off that the boss tracks are gonna be the hardest part, so you go right ahead and take your time with them lol, I gotta keep the flash moving anyway and i keep running into stupid problems like video card failures and needing to do system restores and all that, not to mention the hundreds of bugs i keep running into, but things are chugging right along.
I like how this piece really feels large and, for the sake of a better term, climactic. it exceeded my expectations that I'd had in my head for a "sea-monster in the rain battle"
I love this
it's like, Alice in wonderland, Charlie and the Choclate factory and Banjo-Kazooi all wrapped up into one.
I was half tempted to make a candy level when I heared it, than i thought "no... no, need to stick to the overal theme"
While making this I thougth, he's probably gonna think I'm on cack or something... XD
I'm really looking forward to play through the whole level.
Nightmare before World War 2
I remember writing the e-mail for this one thinking "oh god, I'm asking this poor guy to do something that models after a warzone setting around a cathedral with Undead armies fighting each other and platoons of living soldiers, he's gonna HATE me"
but this comes out so well i'm blown away, great job again (i know i say it all the time)
I really think that this is gonna add to the feeling of "dear lord would you look at what's going on here" and than inadvertantly landing in the middle of it
It fits well
Originally for the level, i had been hunting for tracks that spoke for really terrifying moments, but as time went on, i started to realize that just about under no circumstance does Canthos fit that at all.
This track is heavy and light in just the right places.
For most of the song, it feels really calculating and rythmic, and machine like which is very good, which hits the vibe of the level spot on. Overall I think this fits a clock tower esc level perfectly, and it still manages to hold that feeling of steam punk invention which of course is perfect
nah good job again! looking forward to hearing from you again
wheee
Steam punk is a hard catagory to nail. In essence it's really not supposed to sound "futuristic" but almost Renaissance esc (it's all about invention and imagination)
So when you nail something down that really fits into the fantasy-steam punk-adventure category you know you've done something not a lot of people can do,
It reminds me of Airship adventures, which is spot on.
The main melody in this is also very good, I really like it.
My only stifle is that the opening might be a bit to long, other than that it's very well done!
Good job
